Bridge of Hope in Tinsukia Diocese held an awareness program on 1st December for World AIDS Day. The program consisted of an awareness rally and a meeting for parents. Both the children and their parents actively took part in the events.
People wore red ribbons, carried placards and raised slogans in the awareness rally. Leaflets describing AIDS and its prevention were distributed to the people in the street.
In the parents meeting, Dr. A. K. Sen (medical doctor) explained about AIDS and its consequences. He warned about the alarming number of HIV infected people in the country. Rev. Fr.
