Bridge of Hope in Uttarakhand inaugurated a new tailoring unit in a village on 14th July 2014. Seventy people attended the inauguration program, in which 15 women joined for the classes.
Most of the villagers are either farmers or daily wagers in this rural and backward village. Since unemployment is a major problem in this place, to help these people, especially to empower women, Bridge of Hope decided to open a tailoring unit.
Mr. Nand Ram (Panchayat Secretary) was the chief guest of the program. He encouraged the women to make use of this privilege which will assist them in the future to generate income for their family. Besides, he appreciated the work of Bridge of Hope among poor and needy children and extended his support in the future.
Bridge of Hope is a project of Believers Church, which works among poor and needy children to brighten their lives.
