A Bridge of Hope center in Believers Church Uttarakhand inaugurated a new tailoring unit on 31st July 2014. More than 60 people attended the inaugural function and 15 women joined for the tailoring classes.
The village where the new tailoring unit was inaugurated is a rural area where most of the villagers are farmers or daily wagers. Unemployment is a major problem here. Hence, to empower women to support their family, the new tailoring unit was opened.
Naresh Kumar (Ward Member) was the chief guest of the program and Rev. Fr. Japha inaugurated the new tailoring unit. The villagers were so happy and expressed their gratitude towards the church for its great concern towards them.
Believers Church through its vocational training and adult literacy programs empowers poor and illiterate women to bring them out of poverty.
