On 17th February 2014, Bridge of Hope in Bengaluru Diocese held a free medical aid distribution program. Hearing aids, eyeglasses, medicine and health kits were distributed as needed and 150 people got benefited from the program.
Mrs. Sumita Usgaonkar (Municipal Chair Person) was the chief guest of the program. In her short speech she said that, “This organization is very keen in playing an active role in medical welfare, providing medical treatment and also on social issues for the well-being of society.”
Prakash is ten years old, and has had a hearing problem since birth. His parents are daily laborers and could not afford the hearing aid he required. But through the free medical aid distribution, he finally received a hearing aid.
Medical camps are just part of how Bridge of Hope works for the holistic development of poor and needy children.
