The children and staff of a Bridge of Hope center in Believers Church Bengaluru Diocese organized a special assembly to mark the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi on the 2nd of October.
Bishop Dr. Samuel Mathew, Bridge of Hope staff, children and around 600 local community members gathered for the occasion. The ground floor corridor was beautifully decorated by the children and staff. The assembly started with the garlanding of Mahatma Gandhi’s portrait.
Bishop Dr. Samuel Mathew spoke about Mahatma Gandhi. He made the young students aware of Gandhiji’s principles, his contribution to India’s freedom struggle and to the world at large, and how he has inspired millions and will continue to be an inspiration of the future generations of India.
A parent said, “Thank you Bridge of Hope from the bottom of our hearts for the warm and gentle care you provide for our children. We hope that this will definitely sow the seeds of a good human being and a good citizen in our children.”
Believers Church never misses an opportunity to instill patriotism in its Bridge of Hope students.
