Bridge of Hope Center Opens in Kandhamal

Believers Church Odisha Diocese inaugurated a Bridge of Hope center in Kandhamal district on 3rd December 2012. Most locals work as farmers or daily laborers. The literacy rate here is very low, and most people live below the poverty line defined by the government of Odisha.

The inauguration program drew the village headman, community doctor, inspector in-charge and more than 500 villagers. The Project coordinator spoke of the aims and objectives of Bridge of Hope. The villagers were happy to learn of how Bridge of Hope brings hope to poor communities, and local leaders offered their support for the project. 134 children are now part of the center.

These kids are joining more than 60,000 students who receive education, medical services, social awareness and nutritious food through Bridge of Hope.
