In an effort to bring comfort and warmth to those in need, Believers Eastern Church Itahari Diocesan Women’s Fellowship team organized a blanket distribution program on ‘International Day of Persons with Disabilities’ on December 3, 2023. This observance aimed to extend care and warmth to those facing challenges due to disabilities, especially during the onset of the cool season.
The leader of the diocesan women’s fellowship took a moment to enlighten attendees about the significance of the day, emphasizing the importance of supporting one another. During the event, blankets were distributed among the participants to shield them from the chilling weather. Additionally, recognizing the absence of a few individuals, the team took effort to visit their homes to personally deliver these essential gifts.
A total of 10 disabled individuals were the recipients of fiber blankets during this compassionate initiative. Among them, Sita Ram Bhatarai, aged 55, expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying, “Thank you so much for showing your love to us by giving this warm fiber blanket in this cool season.”
Another beneficiary, Bir Bahadur B.K, aged 70 and paralyzed for numerous years, expressed profound appreciation, stating, “I am immensely grateful for your visit to my hut and for gifting this precious blanket. Please come to see me again.”
