Believers Church Diocese of Patna conducted a program for youths in a Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School on International Youth Day, 12th August, 2014. The theme of the program was Youth and Mental Health and the slogan was ‘Mental Health Matters’. Around 400 girls participated in the program.
Bishop M.A. Lalachan was the chief guest of the program. “1.8 billion People in this world are between the age of 10 and 24, and in India, it’s nearly 50% of the total population,” said Bishop in his inaugural address. “The youths can decide the future of the nation because they have the potential to influence and change the world. They have a great role in building the nation and they should take up their role.” Further he inspired the girls by saying “every young girl can become an influence; your decisions determine your destiny.”
Dr. Manjula Kumari, the Principal of Government Higher Secondary School was also present at the programme, and the students performed cultural programs and dances.
Believers Church equips youth to succeed in their lives and also to build up a better tomorrow through a number of different initiatives like this.
