Believers Church Diocese of Delhi organized social welfare programs in slums and rural villages as a part of the celebration of International Women’s Day and Founder’s day, the birthday of Metropolitan Dr. K.P. Yohannan.
The people in these places fall sick often due to the open drainages there. Mosquitoes grew easily in it and caused them mosquito-borne diseases like malaria and dengue fever. So, the church distributed mosquito nets among them to protect their health.
A team of Women’s Fellowship members, Sisters of Compassion and diocesan staffs went and visited their places along with Bishop Dr. Simon John. They distributed mosquito nets to 150 families and blankets to 250 families. They also gave food packets to them. they also visited a leprosy colony and distributed food provisions needed for one month to 15 families.
They all thanked the church and the team for visiting them and caring for their needs.
