As a part of the ‘Clean India campaign’ launched by honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Believers Church Diocese of Hyderabad held a social work program on 2nd October 2014.
Though this campaign, PM challenged all citizens of India to be a part in maintaining our country clean. “But cleaning up the country cannot be the sole responsibility of sanitation workers. Do citizens have no role in this? We have to change this mindset,” the PM said. He further said “We all must come together and do this (clean India) wherever we are.”
Taking this challenge, the diocesan staffs and community members cleaned up the roads and its sides under the guidance of Bishop Anil Kumar Debbarma. Mr. Anil Kumar (Sarpanch) and Mr. Pentaji (Ward Member) also took part in these activities.
The same day, Believers Church conducted social work in different dioceses to raise the message of ‘Clean India.’
