In observance of World Mosquito Day, the Women’s Fellowship team of Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Birtamod organized a mosquito net distribution program in Surunga, Jhapa district, on 20th August 2024. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about mosquito-borne diseases and provide essential protection to vulnerable families.
During the program, the diocesan Women’s Fellowship leader spoke about the dangers of mosquito-borne illnesses and advised the attendees on the importance of using mosquito nets to protect their families. She emphasized the church’s commitment to supporting community health and well-being.
As part of the event, the Women’s Fellowship team distributed mosquito nets to 12 families in need. The beneficiaries received the nets with heartfelt gratitude, expressing their appreciation for the timely and valuable gifts.
Mrs. Phul Maya, one of the recipients, shared, “I walked almost two hours to receive this precious gift. Thank you for your love and care.”
Another beneficiary, Mr. Jiten Besra, remarked, “I was unaware of this special day. Thank you for providing me with this useful gift. I will use it with care to protect myself and my family from mosquito bites.”
