BioSand Water Filter Distribution Held in Changlang

Believers Church Changlang held a BioSand water filter distribution program on 21st March 2014. Twenty-four families received free water filters during the program.

The water available in this village is contaminated with iron, yellowish in color and smells. Normally, people use this water without purifying it, which exposes them to all types of water-related diseases. A BioSand water filter can purify this contaminated water and reduce the smell.

Mr. Jaganath Chungkarang, the village head, was the chief guest. In his speech he said that, “I thank Believers Church for taking initiative in my village. Due to impure water, people got many kinds of sicknesses like skin disease, jaundice and diarrhea. Because of the lack of pure water, our body is not healthy. In our village we need water filters and Believers Church provided that.”

Believers Church helps tens of thousands of people get access to safe water through installing bore wells and distributing free BioSand water filters.
