BioSand Water Filter Distribution in Dhemaji Benefits 30 Families

On 24th March 2014, Believers Church Dhemaji Diocese held a BioSand water filter distribution program. Thirty BioSand water filters were distributed to local villagers.

The villagers depend on tube well water, which is contaminated with arsenic and cannot be used without filtering. Unfiltered, the water can cause a lot of health hazards like kidney failures. Considering this situation, Believers Church decided to distribute BioSand water filters to the villagers.

Mr. Ranjan, one of the beneficiaries said, “I am thankful for the privilege to have a water filter. I would use this filter with much care as we had been facing the water scarcity of drinking water, as the water is full of arsenic.”

Believers Church has distributed thousands of BioSand water filters and drilled many thousands of bore wells through its clean water project.
