A World AIDS Day awareness rally was conducted by Believers Church Bilaspur Diocese on 1st December 2010. The rally began with prayer by Rev. Fr. Sabu (Vicar General).
90 people actively participated in the rally, including staff and students of the Men’s and Women’s Minor Seminaries, diocesan office staff and other Believers Church workers from Bilaspur.
The participants carried signs with AIDS awareness slogans written on them. Throughout the 15 kilometer rally, the students and staff voiced these slogans to raise awareness of the killer disease.
In addition, the students distributed booklets about AIDS. After covering the heart of the city, the rally returned to the Bilaspur Diocesan Office.
The local people were curious and excited to receive the information. And this is only one of many locations in South Asia that was covered by similar Believers Church awareness rallies.
Thousands of people received valuable, practical information to protect themselves from AIDS.
