Bengaluru Diocese Starts Adult Literacy Class for Illiterate Community Women

Believers Church Bengaluru Diocese started an adult literacy class for illiterate community members on 2nd February. Around 10 women joined the class when the local Women’s Fellowship began daily lessons.

The women are excited to learn. “Now I am able to look at a price tag and know how much something costs,” said one woman; “otherwise the shopkeepers used to cheat me because I did not know reading.”

Believers Church’s adult literacy textbook is available in 13 languages and more than 30,000 community members are currently enrolled in literacy classes.
