On 22nd January 2012, Believers Church Miloor organized a community development program for the underprivileged people. The program was organized under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Prakash (North Zonal Presbyter) and Rev. Fr. Abraham (District Leader).
Mr. Rahim Khan (MLA) was the chief guest for the day. As per the culture, he was honored with a garland and shawl. Mr. Rahim Kahn gave a brief speech and said, “In all sectors of the human life, church and Christianity have been playing a vital role to bring developments and to create an amiable atmosphere in the society. I am extremely grateful to Believers Church and its leaders for thinking about our poor and marginalized people in the society.”
Gifts were distributed to 51 downtrodden families that had been identified by church leaders. The gifts included two sewing machines, 17 pairs of chickens, 26 goats and six lambs. All the recipients were extremely happy and expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards our ministry.
Chandranmma was thankful to receive a sewing machine. She said, “My husband works for daily wages to meet our basic needs. It was very difficult to take care of the family and give education to four children. I knew tailoring but we were not able to purchase a sewing machine. But Believers Church has given me a sewing machine. Now I can start work and earn a little amount of money for my family. We are grateful to Believers Church leaders for giving us the sewing machine.”
