Bengaluru Diocese Creatively Marks World AIDS Day
December 1, 2012A unique event encouraged AIDS awareness in Believers Church Bengaluru Diocese on 1st December 2012. A Women’s Fellowship team organized a banner-making and slogan-writing contest in honor of World AIDS Day.
Special guest Dr. Chandrakanth started the event by painting the red AIDS prevention symbol. Church members then participated enthusiastically. Their posters highlighted ways to prevent HIV infection and exposed myths associated with the disease.
The program ended with an awareness rally. Dr. Chandrakanth said, “I’m encouraged to see the good works done by Believers Church by conducting social activities.”
The church organizes World AIDS Day programs in hundreds of locations every year.
