Bengaluru Diocese Conducts Community Development Initiative

On 25th January 2012, Believers Church Hethaki Bangalore organized a community development program under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Sumanth and Rev. Fr. Anand.

Mr. B.N. Bache Gowda (Sericulture and Labor Minister of Karnataka) was the chief guest for the day. He appreciated Believers Church for taking initiative to organize this community development program for the poor and needy.

The program benefited eighteen underprivileged families in the community. These families received items such as sewing machines, bicycles, tricycles, sheep and a pull cart.

A widow named Yeshoda (45 years old) received a sheep. She had been finding it very difficult to meet the basic needs of her two children. She said, “I do not have words to express my thanks to Believers Church, because in my bad condition you have given me great help free of cost.” Yeshoda will now be able to better support herself and her children.

This was just one of several programs that were conducted through the community development project of Karnataka.
