Believers Youth Celebrates International Youth Day in Archdiocese of Kolkata

Believers Youth team of Archdiocese of Kolkata celebrated the International Youth Day on 12 August, 2022.

In commemoration of this day, the team organized a special meeting for the youth members of the church. During the meeting, one of the priests shared about the importance of this day and exhorted them from the scriptures. Citing the life example of Daniel and his three friends he encouraged the youth to lead a blameless life.

Towards the end, a special prayer was offered for the youth. The program concluded with planting of saplings at the campus premises.

Fr. Shambhu Das said, “Celebrating International Youth Day once in a year gives us a great opportunity to motivate and encourage the youth members of our church. This year we also could plant some saplings in our campus to make our surroundings green and clean”.

“Youth need to be empowered in order to take control of their future. They need to be supported and given opportunities to come forward to create a brighter future”, said Evangelist Narugopal Dolai.
