Believers Eastern Church Rwanda held its first training meeting for the new staff of Community Transformation Project on June 27 and 28 in the Diocese office in Kigali. Eight newly recruited staff members attended the training seminar, and they were introduced to Believers Eastern Church and its activities, as well as the functioning and implementation of the Community Transformation Project.
The staff were from Rustiro (western province), Bugesera (Eastern Province), and Kikukiro (Kigali province) districts, where the Holy Church envisions launching CTP projects in the days to come.
H. G. Geevarghese Mor Makarios Episcopa inaugurated the training seminar. Various sessions were taken by the Episcopa, Fr. Sijo Pandapallil, and by diocesan leaders.
Interactive sessions with the new staff helped the diocesan office team better understand the needs of the communities in Rwanda and create programmes that needed to be implemented in light of the situation. The two-day programme was divided into various sessions covering topics like CTP programmes, finances, administration, child sponsorship, and community mobilisation. The meeting inspired the new recruits to plan for various programmes in the coming days and think of ideas for raising funds locally.
The participants were extremely happy with the training seminar since it helped them better comprehend the Church and the objectives of CTP project. In the coming days, the church envisions working with these new recruits to start community transformation projects at different places.
