Believers Eastern Church Ordains 87 New Priests

Believers Eastern Church held ordination ceremonies at three places on 15 and 16 November 2019 where 87 new priests were ordained to the sacred order of priesthood.

In one ordination ceremony held at Mangaluru, 58 priests from Dioceses of Bengaluru, Hubli, Gulbarga and Goa were ordained to the holy priesthood through the imposition of hands and the invocation of the Holy Spirit by Samuel Mor Theophilus Episcopa. Thomas Mor Kurilos Episcopa and Joseph Mor Demetrius Episcopa were the co-celebrants of the ceremony.

Altogether 11 priests from Diocese of Shillong and Mission Diocese of Tura were ordained in a solemn ceremony held at St. John Believers Eastern Church Cathedral on 15 November 2019. Justin Mor Thomas Episcopa officiated the ordination service along with the co-celebrant Jeremiah Mor Theodosius Episcopa.

The rite of ordination for 18 priests from Diocese of Mumbai took place on Saturday. John Mor Irenaeus Episcopa ordained them to the holy priesthood. Samuel Mor Ambrose Episcopa was the co-celebrant.
