On 1 December 2018, Believers Eastern Church conducted rallies and awareness camps across all its dioceses to commemorate World AIDS Day.
According to the latest UNICEF report, over 1, 20,000 children and teens were living with HIV in India in 2017, the highest number in South Asia.
To raise awareness about AIDS and its prevention, members of dioceses marched on the roads and streets holding placards inscribed with numerous AIDS Day messages.
Numerous awareness camps also were conducted in schools, villages and slum areas, along with rallies. The dioceses created awareness among people about the issues surrounding HIV and AIDS and encouraged the crowd to take major steps to help control the wide spread of the disease. In some of the places they even distributed booklets on HIV/AIDS.
