Believers Eastern Church Faithful Celebrate Easter Sunday

Believers Eastern Church faithful joined their brethren the world over in celebrating Easter Sunday, the Holy Pascha on 04 April 2021, commemorating the life-giving resurrection of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Special prayers and worship services were held across all the parishes of the church, with strict adherence to Covid-19 protocols. In each parish, the Easter Sunday ceremonies began with Easter procession, which recalls the original baptismal procession from the darkness and death of this world to the light and the life of the Kingdom of God.

HG Josua Mor Barnabas Episcopa presided over the Easter Divine Liturgy at the St. Thomas Believers Eastern Church Cathedral, Kerala. During the Easter Homily, he exhorted the faithful from the famous Paschal Sermon of Saint John Chrysostom, which calls upon the faithful to forget their sins and to join fully in the feast of the resurrection of Christ.
