Amidst the COVID-19 induced lockdown, Believers Eastern Church dioceses are doing their bit to help families that are struggling to make ends meet during the pandemic.
Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Raipur has been able to help 25 families, mostly the families of widows and destitute women, during this lockdown. Today, a team from the diocese visited a slum where they provided dry rations and other essential items to help a pregnant mother and her family. The recent lockdown has rendered this family jobless and they have been struggling to put food on the table. The timely aid provided by the church can help sustain this family for a month.
On 17 May 2021, Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Bilaspur distributed dry rations to 20 needy families struggling with hunger in Covid second wave.
