The biggest disease today is not leprosy or tuberculosis, but rather the feeling of being unwanted. ~ Mother Teresa
Though leprosy can be cured with proper treatment, the feeling of being unwanted, unloved and marginalized can only be treated with love and compassion! And on World Leprosy Day the priests, Sisters of Compassion and women’s fellowship teams of our church did just that – to touch the lives of these leprosy patients with compassion and show them that their lives matter too!
Our teams were able to bring relief and succour to hundreds of leprosy patients on this day by cleaning and dressing their wounds, providing them with blankets, food items and basic essentials.
