A new water tank was inaugurated on the 23rd of July by Believers Church Sikkim.
Even though there was a good water pipeline in the village, they did not have a tank to hold the water. Since the people in the village are daily workers they were not able to afford to build one.
A total of 25 villagers gathered for the inauguration of the new tank. Mrs. Rammaya Tamang (local leader) was the chief guest for the occasion. She cut the ribbon to officially open the tank. She said, “I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Metropolitan Dr. K.P. Yohannan for such love and concern shown towards the poor and needy. This is the first time that any church has conducted a program like this.” She also encouraged the people to take care of the tank.
This is one of many initiatives Believers Church has taken to provide water for undeveloped communities.
