Believers Church Haryana trained 11 local Women’s Fellowship leaders about basic healthcare from 10th to 13th April 2013. These leaders will teach the material in villages throughout the state.
Special guest Dr. Kuldeep Singh (Haryana Government member of Juvenile Justice Board) inaugurated the seminar. He appreciated the positive work of Believers Church in the society.
Savita of the Women’s Fellowship department taught sessions on ten different health-related topics. The participants had a chance to ask questions during a time of group discussion. They also shared what they learned through dramatic presentations.
The women look forward to implementing healthcare classes in undeveloped communities.
“Many ladies have no idea about the impact of a baby’s diet and vaccines on the baby’s health,” said a woman named Guddi. “So the baby’s health becomes weak and he/she may suffer with different sickness. So here we have learned how we can teach the village women about the value of vaccine and the kind of food they can provide the babies as per their age.”
The participants also learned about women’s health, the need to provide healthy food to growing girls and much more.
Believers Church is working to reach two million women in various places through its new Healthcare Program.
