Beggars Receive Free Food in Uttarakhand on World Food Day

Believers Church Uttarakhand distributed food among the poorest of the poor on World Food Day, 16th October 2014. Slum children and roadside beggars were among more than 130 people who received food packets from Women’s Fellowship members and other distribution teams organized by the church.

One beggar girl named Rajni came up to the team after receiving her food, saying, “Thank you very much for providing us this tasty food… Often people do not give us this kind of good food, but this is really good.” Rajni was only one of many who normally struggle for their daily meals that appreciated the church members for their concern.

Believers Church takes the opportunity each year on World Food Day to provide meals to the hungry throughout its dioceses.
