On 16th October 2012, a Believers Church Udaipur Diocese Women’s Fellowship team observed World Food Day by providing a free meal to the people of Ashadham Ashram where nearly 180 mentally challenged people stay. This Ashram is run by three Roman Catholic nuns.
Some of the residents are violent due to their sickness, some talk to themselves and some cry alone. Others laugh, sit quietly or roam around the campus.
The Women’s Fellowship team served beaten rice and banana to the patients. The people received the food and ate it joyfully.
The chief sister of the Ashram was very glad to see the work of Believers Church.
The church works diligently to uplift the downtrodden and neglected of society. World Food Day programs were held in many South Asian locations by Believers Church on this occasion.
