Awareness Programs Mark World Day Against Child Labor in Diocese of Gangtok

Believers Church Diocese of Gangtok organized awareness programs in eleven places on 12th and 13th June 2016 in commemoration of World Day Against Child Labor.

The main objective of the programs was to educate the general public about the ill-effects of child labor and the importance of sending children to schools. More than 1,000 Bridge of Hope children and staff participated in these programs.

Speaking on the occasion in one of the places, Sital said, “Children are the future of our nation. So instead of letting them being exploited, we should come forward and work together to eradicate child labor and make sure no child is being exploited in our society and in our country”.

The parents of Bridge of Hope children thanked the Bridge of Hope staff for organizing the programs saying that they were motivated to support the fight against child labor and spread awareness of this crucial social cause.
