Athanasius Yohan I Metropolitan Presides Over Easter Sunday Service at St. Peter’s Cathedral in Colombo

Moran Mor Athanasius Yohan I Metropolitan presided over the Easter Sunday liturgy at St. Peter’s Believers Eastern Church Cathedral, Colombo, Sri Lanka.

H.G. Geevarghese Mor Makariose Episcopa concelebrated the liturgy. The solemn service began with a procession, followed by the liturgy of the Word and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.

While delivering the Easter homily, Athanasius Yohan I Metropolian said, “The Lord Jesus Christ demonstrated for us that death is not the end, but it is only the beginning of a great glorious life that never ends.”
