Asha Grih Girls Home officially opened in Believers Church Delhi Diocese at the end of August. The new home has the capacity to care for 35 children. Already four girls have been rescued from the streets and placed in the home. The children promptly received medical checkups, nutritious food and loving care from the staff and Sisters of Compassion working in Asha Grih.
The home will give vulnerable girls a safe place to stay, and will also try to reunite them with their families whenever possible and in their best interest.
Currently Believers Church has two street children’s homes in Delhi, and hopes to start more homes in other major cities of the subcontinent.
