Around 80 Economically Disadvantaged Children Receive Tracksuits in Diocese of Kathmandu

Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Kathmandu held a tracksuit distribution program in Chitwan District, Nepal, through Hope for Children on 8 March 2021.

Around 80 children enrolled in a Hope for Children center received the tracksuits on this day. Mrs. Babi Mahato, vice chairman of the village development committee, handed out the tracksuits to the children. In her speech, she appreciated the church and Hope for Children for working towards the educational development of the children in the area. She also applauded the vocational training course which is run by the church for the upliftment of women.

Almost all the children who received the tracksuits go to government schools and they attend school for the whole year with just one pair of uniform. Some of them use it for another year too. Their parents are solely dependent on agriculture, earning just enough money to feed their families. So, on receiving the new tracksuits, the children were joyful and they thanked the church for the gift.
