Around 40 Chepang Families Receive Warm Blankets

A local parish from Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Birtamod organized a blanket distribution program in a remote village in Makwanpur District of Nepal on 24 January 2021.

The village is mostly inhabited by Chepangs, semi-nomadic forest dwellers who still live below the poverty line with little access to education and health services. Majority of them survive on wild foods such as yam and other wild edible plants.

The church helped 37 poor families from this village with warm blankets.
