Around 280 Children Receive Deworming Tablets

On 8 February 2019 Believers Eastern Church Buniyadpur held deworming tablet distribution programs at two places in commemoration of National Deworming Day.

According to the World Health Organization, around 241 million children between the ages of 1 and 14 years are at risk of parasitic intestinal worm infections in India.

Through the tablet distribution drive held by the church, around 280 children received Albendazole anti-worm tablets freely. Children below five years of age also were given Vitamin A supplements.

The purpose of this program was to deworm children so that they would be protected from illnesses caused by worms and also to bring awareness among people about the importance of maintaining hygiene and cleanliness to sustain good health.
