AIDS Awareness Campaign Held in Nagpur Diocese

Believers Church Nagpur Diocese organized an AIDS awareness campaign on 1st December 2008.  The rally covered more than 20 villages in and around Khapri and Kalmeshwar.

Mr. Victor Freitas, MLA, inaugurated the AIDS Awareness campaign at the Nagpur Diocesan Office.Rt. Rev. M.A. Lalachan chaired the function. Dr. John Louis (Asst. Director Ayurvedic Dept, Govt. of Maharashtra), Mr. K.J. George (Member of All India Builders Association) and Rev. Harris Singh also graced the occasion.

The program was organized by Believers Church Compassion Services, which is committed to helping the poor and downtrodden through various social welfare programs.

A group of twenty members from the church conducted the AIDS awareness campaign through house visits, a public rally, personal counselling and distribution of  booklets and other material pertaining to AIDS awareness.

The team received a tremendous response and support in all 20 villages they visited.
