AIDS Awareness Booklets Given Freely in Mumbai

Believers Church Mumbai Diocese held an educational event on World AIDS Day, 1st December 2012. Believers Church and Bridge of Hope staff joined Minor Seminary students in the awareness rally. They distributed five kinds of booklets from the Maharashtra State AIDS Control Society in public places such as the local market and bus stand.

The marchers held placards and said slogans to educate people on the roadside. Locals gave a good response, receiving booklets happily.

Around 100 people learned how to prevent AIDS. Awareness spread even further when a local television channel reported the program on the news.

Mumbai was only one of many locations where Believers Church cleared doubts about AIDS and actively informed the public.
