On 15th Feb 2014, Believers Church Agartala Diocese organized a relief program. On 27th January this year, an accidental fire broke out in a community and five houses were burnt down. None of the affected families had anything left, and they were living in a pathetic condition.
Considering this situation, Believers Church decided to provide relief supplies. The gifts included tin sheets, blankets, study materials for children, a 100 kg bag rice per family and some clothes. Additionally, 48 blankets were distributed to needy members of the community.
Ram, one among the five who lost his home in fire, said, “I am very thankful for the things we received. We have lost everything but now we have hope.”
This is one of the many ways Believers Church helps people to overcome adverse conditions and shows love and concern to the impoverished people.
