This week, a local Believers Eastern Church parish in Dimapur District of Nagaland organized an Advent Christmas program.
The Dimapur Diocesan Vicar was the resource person at the program. He delivered a message centered around the theme ‘Rejoice, the Lord’s Coming.’ Drawing inspiration from Matthew 2:1-12, he passionately encouraged the congregation to prepare their hearts to welcome Jesus Christ into their lives. He urged them to embrace a new beginning, devotedly serve the living God, engage in spiritual preparation for the Christmas season, and extend their hands to serve the less fortunate.
Highlight of the event was the carol singing by the church members. Special Christmas melodies reverberated through the parish hall as they presented soul-stirring songs, setting the tone for the day.
Approximately 110 believers, including young children, participated in the event. Post-program, the parishoners relished a delightful time of fellowship and refreshments.
Jastin Ovung remarked, “Christmas serves as a reminder that Jesus Christ was born for us. I am delighted to observe the advent season as it aids in preparing myself for the Lord’s second coming.”
