On 5th May 2014, the Diocese of Jasidih, installed bore wells in 5 different villages. Altogether 930 people depend these bore wells for their daily water needs.
The villagers didn’t have a permanent source of drinking water. Mainly they depended on the open pond in the village, which was not clean and was utilized by both animals and humans. Without an option they were forced to use this water for drinking too. When the church came to know about the villagers’ water scarcity, they decided to install bore wells for the villagers.
Providing clean drinking water to the needy communities is one among the many projects of the church to uplift the poor and needy.
