850 Poor Community Members Receive Free Medical Care in Odisha Diocese
February 27, 2014Believers Church Odisha Diocese held free medical camps on 26th and 27th February for poor community members without access to medical care. Altogether, 850 patients received free checkups and medicine according to their need.
The patients were seen by a team of doctors including Dr. Gopal Rao (former Chief District Medical Officer), Dr. Prodynt Ratha, Dr. Ram Hari Khandual, Dr. Sidheswar Baskey, Dr. Sameer Kumar Nayak and Dr. Ranjeet Kumar Sahuwas.
Medical camps are just one of the many ways Believers Church improves health in rural and urban communities. Other initiatives include hygiene awareness programs, healthcare classes and providing improved sanitation facilities.
