In the month of March, Believers Church Diocese of Surguja organized income-generating gift distribution programs at three places in Chhattisgarh.
Inaugurating the program, held at one of the places on 22nd March 2017, Mr. Vijaynath Singh (Former MLA) said, “I am so thankful and grateful to Believers Church for lending a helping hand to poor communities and by doing this, they are serving the humanity.” Mrs. Shanti Ekka (Speaker of District Panchayat), Mr. Devnarayan Yadav (Vice president of Janpad Panchayat), Mr. Satish Kumar Jaisawal (Speaker of block Panchayat) and Mr. Ramvichar Yadav (Vice Sarpanch) also were present on the occasion.
The diocese distributed 10 cows, 10 pairs of goats, 20 pairs of chickens, 20 solar lights, 10 carpentry kits, 2 blacksmith kits, 1 plumbing kit and 7 masonry tool kits at the three places, benefiting a total of 80 poor and needy families.
Believers Church, through its poverty alleviation project, aims and works towards providing a stable source of income to poor families and thereby help them escape poverty.
