Believers Church Diocese of Udaipur conducted a gift distribution program on 6th August, 2014. More than 100 people attended the program and seventy families received different poverty alleviating gifts that day. The gifts included vegetable trolleys, sewing machines and items like Atta, rice, Dal, oil, washing & bathing soaps to start small shops.
Mr. Manohar Singh (High Court Advocate) inaugurated the program. In his inaugural speech, he appreciated the work the church is doing and said “Believers Church is a classic example for humanitarian service among the most needy in society.” Mr. Bherulal (Sarpanch) was the chief guest and he distributed the gifts to the recipients.
The beneficiaries were so happy and expressed their heartfelt thanks towards the church. “I am grateful to the Church for giving me a these items to start a shop” said Bro. Kalu, a beneficiary. “From today onwards, I can support my family myself. Really, the Church is doing a great thing for the society.”
Believers Church, through poverty alleviating program helps the poor and needy people to stand on their own feet and to develop themselves socially and economically.
