60 Families Receive BioSand Water Filters to Purify Contaminated Water

On 8th July 2014, the Diocese of Dhemaji held a BioSand water filter distribution. Overall 60 families received water filters on that day.

Mr. Diparam Borah (Panchayat President) was the chief guest of the program. In his inaugural speech he said, “People in this village go through lots of struggles due to arsenic and iron-contaminated water, and they are financially too poor to buy filters.”

Bro. Nitun, a farmer aged 38 years, received a water filter. There are four members in his family and most often his family members fell sick due to the use of contaminated water. He said, “I will be ever grateful to Believers Church for providing a filter for our family members, which will surely save our lives from life-threatening diseases and medical expenses.”

Believers Church provides thousands bore wells and BioSand water filters to needy communities in order to make pure drinking water available to them.
