Malaria is a preventable and treatable disease, yet it continues to have a devastating impact on the health and livelihood of people around the world.
In an initiative to curb the spread of malaria and safeguard poor and needy families from this dreaded disease, the Women’s Fellowship Committee of Chitwan district organized a mosquito net distribution program on World Mosquito Day, 20 August 2022.
The women’s fellowship team distributed mosquito nets to 56 needy families on this occasion. The beneficiaries received the mosquito nets with a grateful heart and expressed their gratitude to the church for the useful gift.
One of the beneficiaries named Puspa Mahato expressed her thankful heart saying, “I thank all the sisters and brothers who provided this mosquito net. It is really an indispensable gift for me because it can protect me from mosquito bites and the diseases spread by mosquitoes as well.”
