Believers Church Bengaluru Diocese installed four bore wells in two districts from 15th-22nd January 2014. Overall, 5,300 people benefited from the bore wells.
Though there was a public water tank in one village, for example, it was not clean and not safe to drink that water. Those who could afford it would buy water. Others walked for kilometers to the nearby village and got water or asked others to give it to them. Considering this situation, Bengaluru Diocese took initiative to install bore wells in this area.
The beneficiaries said, “We cannot go to the same house every time to ask for water, even they need water. We used to keep changing the house. Some houses were very far, and each day we had to face possible rejection from those we had chosen to approach, but now Believers Church changed our lives and we don’t have to ask anybody for water. We have plenty of it.”
Believers Church provides clean drinking water to thousands of villages by drilling bore wells and distributing BioSand filters.
