Despite a drop in the daily Coronavirus figures, Covid-19 continues to wreak havoc on Indian lives and economy. Owing to the pandemic, many people are struggling to earn a livelihood and facing a lot of problems. The poor and needy are desperate to get help as many of them have lost their jobs and are struggling for basic sustenance.
Taking a step forward in helping those who are worst hit by the Covid-19 pandemic, a local parish in Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Siliguri held a relief supply distribution program in Alipurduar district, West Bengal on 12 August 2021.
The local panchayat head was present at the distribution program. He appreciated the parish for taking the initiative to render help to the poor and needy.
