Believers Church Uttarakhand distributed ration supplies in a leprosy colony on World Leprosy Day, 25th January 2015. 47 families were given ration kits containing 25 kg rice, 5 kg flour, 2 kg dal, 1 kg oil and 1 kg salt.
These people are extremely poor and have pitiable living conditions since they are not able to do any job. So, this distribution program was organized to provide them with sufficient supplies. Rev. Fr. Japha distributed the supplies to each family.
The beneficiaries were so happy to receive these items. “We were in real need for these items because our provisions got over and I didn’t have money to buy food to eat,” said Mr. Surat Lal, one beneficiary. “Thank you so much for providing our family these items.”
The church organized similar programs throughout all its dioceses on World Leprosy Day to help those in need.
