35 BioSand Water Filters Distributed in Village with Lime-Contaminated Water

Believers Church Uttarakhand distributed 35 BioSand water filters on 30th November. The water in the local community contained lime, which damaged people’s teeth and hair. They also struggled from kidney stones. The poor people here could afford water filters, so they kept drinking the polluted water.

This prompted the church to distributed 35 free BioSand filters in the community. Kuldeep (BioSand department) demonstrated the filter by pouring dirty water into it. The villagers were amazed to see him actually drink the water after it ran through the filter.

“I am thankful to the church for taking initiative to provide this kind of filter to the people,” said Mr. Surendra Singh (village head). “I will personally encourage people to take this filter because its taste is really good.”

Believers Church provides pure water to thousands of people through its clean water project.
