280 Families Receive Dry Rations in Karikal

On 5th July 2013, Believers Church Niranam Diocese provided 280 food packets for flood victims in Karikal, Kerala.

Mr. Eapen Kurien (Block Panchayat President), Mr. Sam Eapen (Panchayat President) took part in the distribution, expressing their thanks for Believers Church’s work in areas affected by flooding.

Two hundred eighty families received packets of rice (5 kg), sugar (1 kg) and tea (250 gm). After experiencing the devastating effects of monsoon-induced flooding, they were happy to receive the dry rations.

Ponamma Said, “My husband died long ago, myself and my daughter are living here. Flood water entered in our house. No one came here to help us. Thank you so much for your kind help.”

This is part of an ongoing relief effort to help thousands of flood victims throughout Kerala.
